Formats: use JPG or PNG. Aim below 2 MB per image for KDP. An orange warning appears if pixels are below Amazon’s slot minimum, proportions differ, or a file exceeds 2 MB. The preview preserves the same source images and aspect ratios on desktop and mobile, without cropping. This is an approximation; the final KDP preview is authoritative.
